Question 1

What is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)?

Accepted Answer

AEO is the practice of optimizing content to appear in AI-generated answers (like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) rather than just traditional search engine results pages. It focuses on being the cited source for direct answers.

Question 2

How is AEO different from SEO?

Accepted Answer

SEO focuses on ranking links on a search results page (SERP). AEO focuses on being the single, authoritative answer provided by an AI. SEO targets keywords; AEO targets questions, intent, and factual authority.
